FAQ

Thanks for inquiring with us! Let us know if you have any additional questions.

  1. Do you edit all of our pictures?

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

  2. How long will it take to receive our pictures?

My turnaround time varies by season and session type. For weddings, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 8-10 weeks after your wedding. For family and engagement sessions, you will receive your items about 2-3 weeks after your wedding. Your images will be available online for download, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

  3. How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

  4. Will we have the rights to our images?

Absolutely! You will be able to post, print, and share your images however you like!

  5. What is your refund/cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel for personal reasons, severe weather, or pandemic reasons, I understand and won’t charge you the cost for the full session, if you have prepaid, you will get the cost minus the deposit returned to you. Unfortunately, your deposit is non-refundable in these situations as this covers the cost of the work done to prepare for your session.

  6. Do you have insurance?

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

  7. How much is your deposit? When is it due?

The cost of the deposit depends on your type of session, for family and couple sessions it is $100. For weddings, it varies ($500 minimum) depending on the package.

  8. Do you shoot film or digital?

I shoot 99% digital but have incorporated film into session to provide some additional variety.

  9. What kind of equipment do you shoot on?

For weddings, I shoot on two D780 Nikons. I have a dual SD card slots and shoot COPY so that your photos are getting written to BOTH SD cards. This ensures that your photos are safe in case of SD card corruption. I also backup your photos to an external hard drive and keep the SD card as is until your album is delivered. I also have a Nikon F3 for film photos and a drone for aerial photography.

  10. Do you charge a travel fee?

Travel fees depend on the location of the session. Normally, if your session is in Tampa Bay area, I do not charge a travel fee.

  11. When will we receive the contract?

You will receive the contract upon payment of the deposit.

  12. How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

For the 2024-2024 wedding season, I request that you book at least 2 months before your wedding date.

  13. Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistants depending on the size of your wedding. If you’d like to know whether you need a second shooter, I’d recommend reading the next question!

  14. Do I need a second shooter?

I only recommend a second shooter if one of these three situations are happening.

    • The marriers are getting ready at separate locations

    • If you’re having a fun cocktail hour you want photographed because usually this is when were taking bridal portraits

    • If you want a ton of different angles of the same exact moment

  15. What do you and your assistants wear to photograph my wedding?

I wear nicer clothing to weddings because I believe in blending in. I want your guests to feel comfortable with me. I also believe it’s more respectful to dress up as I will be with you all day and want you to feel like I’m one of your best friends just attending your wedding and just happen to be taking photos. I usually instruct my assistants to wear upscale comfortable clothing that isn’t too distracting and jewelry that doesn’t jingle and comfortable shoes just like myself.

  16. Do you offer video services?

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.

  17. What’s your backup plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In my years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
